Little Miss Sunshine

The Hoover family goes from New Mexico to California , where seven-year-old Olive will enter Little Miss Sunshine beauty contest.
The grandfather takes drug but he friendly . The husband ,Richard has trouble with his job . The wife Sheryl has to take care of everybody . The son Dwayne has stoped talking and he hate everyone . Uncle Frank was broken hearted because of a love affect his boyfriend . The girl Olive has a big dream to being Little Miss sunshine.
In the movie the grandfather is rough person but he looks after his grandkids. The grandfather tells his grandson to look for a girlfriend and he tells him to enjoy his life. The granddaughter was influenced by him. She danced what she learn from her grandpapa during the contest.
Along the trip, many things happen to them. Happy and sad things . Grandfather died of overdose . The husband lost his business . The uncle saw his boyfriend at the gas station . The son got angry at everybody .
During the trip the grandfather taught his grandson and granddaughter what they should do in life.
On their trip through this bizarre landscape, the Hoovers learn to trust and support each other along the path of life, no matter what the challenge.

SONOMA TOWN

A small beautiful and peaceful town. In the summer,you can sit outside of any restaurants to enjoy your food and wine and look over the vineyards. It is very peaceful and relaxing.
There are many old buildings. The older are the City hall and the hotels. They were built in 1890. If you like the history,there is a small museum that shows the Indian and cowboy life. There is a big park in the middle of town. There are big trees along the walkways and many kinds of flowers. They look colorful.
All the shop are around the park. There is wine ,cheese,gift and antique shops. After shopping, you can go to the movie thearte which older than us many years, I thought!
someone likes classic or old-fashion let take time to visit this town,you might find something interesting.

A BUSY WEEKEND

Last weekend my friend's parents came from Chicago.My friend and I took them sightseeing to San Francisco and watched the Chinese New Year parade.It was crowded and really excited.Some team were make the Chinese culture that let explain to people knew about how come in the Chinese New Year has fired fire-cracker and Lion dacing.In Chinese culture legend in the day of new year has 2 devils came from the wood to the village to catch animal.so the farmers fired fire-cracker to made them scared and left.In the other hand,the Lion is symbolize for strong and well-off.Therefore,in Chinese New Year you can see people do both things together.
After parade we went to Sunset city for diner,we ate Japanese and Chinese food.On Sunday we went to San Jose one more time and took them to the temple to make a wish.Then shopping at Macy's.It was a lot fun and tire.

THE BED ROOM OF THE YOUNG BOY

Ninety percent of young boy's room almost messy.One of them look like i describe below.This boy likes sprots,musical and fishing.He has a football picture which was hung on the wall by tape.The baseball was on the bed.The guitar was against of the end the bed.the fishing pole was on the floor.In addition to put everything throughout in the room.The sock was on the lamp.Apiece of cookie,a broken video tape and a stereo were on the floor.The closet and drawers were opening with all cloths unneat.I throught it smells really bad.so,I wish this boy takes time to organize.

GREAT WEEKEND

On Sunday February 04 I went to San Francisco to watch the queen Mary 2 cruise. It’s the biggest cruise ship in the world. It reminds me of the titanic movie. I looked and thought that one day I shall take a trip on it.
Last Saturday, I went sight seeing to Sonoma. There are many old buildings and hotels. The city hall looked old, but beautiful. I walked around the town then I enjoyed my lunch in Sunflower restaurant with a duck sandwich and salad. It was delicious

CHINESE NEW YEAR

In this Chinese New Year with America’s holiday at the same time, so Vietnamese people are very happy. On Sunday, they did the parade in downtown San Jose from 9:00 to 12:00. It was crowded. A lot people fired firecrackers all the time. I didn’t use to hear firecracker’s sound for a long time in my country. When the parade finished we went to the Grand Century Mall for lunch but very hard to found a parking lot. We drove around over half hour, it was drive us crazy. Anyway we were a great holiday.

ABOUT ME

My name is Thanh Tran. i have been living in Oakland for 2 years. I was born in Saigon-Vietnam. Vietnamese is the first language in my country,but i can also speak Chinese (Cantornese and Mandarin).I graduated from highschool and 2 years college in Vietnam for foreign language.I took 3 semester ESL classes at Laney College for improve my English.
My favorite sports are swimming,running and training at the gym.I usually hang out with my friends at the weekend,we go sight seeing to San Francisco,Napa,Sonoma,etc...and we go out for dinner.
I am going to improve my English better and would love to open a fast food restaurant.
